Overfall Brook, near Forteau

There's a number of hiking trails here and there along the north shore in Labrador.

One of them is near Forteau (west of Blanc Sablon) where there is a trail along the coast to a waterfall on Overfall Brook.

Crowberries are another of the many berries that Newfoundlanders and Labrador residents alike harvest from the bush. Crowberries make excellent jam.

Time for some quiet contemplation by the sea.

The falls of Overfall Brook.

There's a steep trail to the top of the falls where you can cross the brook.

It looks as though it's not for the faint-hearted, but it's really not as bad as it looks!

Interesting fungus.
